Through study, prayer, social action and community, the rabbis, staff and layleaders, create a meaningful experience for people of all ages including life-long involved Jews, adults new to Jewish study, children, interfaith couples, feminists, agnostics, and individuals of diverse backgrounds, sexual orientations, and philosophical viewpoints. We value each member and the gifts they bring to our community. At Rodeph Shalom, we consider our members partners in our collective effort to strengthen Jewish life for our community. We encourage each person to contribute their skills, passions, and resources to whatever level they can. Everyone is welcome at RS and no one is ever denied membership due to inability to pay. The Rodeph Shalom Covenant This covenant describes the relationship between Congregation Rodpeh Shalom and its members. The congregation commits to provide opportunity for children and adults to participate in the four pillars of Jewish life: prayer, study, social action, and community. We celebrate a diversity of spiritual perspectives on ritual, study, and Jewish deeds. In the Reform tradition, clergy, and members are partners in congregational life, combining history, creativity and richness of Jewish tradition with personal, ethical and spiritual convictions. Members define their relationship to Rodeph Shalom in different ways: through prayer, through study, through social action and through community. Involvement with Rodeph Shalom might change as we journey through passages of life. Member’s participation in these activities strengthens the whole congregation.
