Working Through Your Response to the Tragic Loss of Life in Pittsburgh

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Philadelphia chapter, a partner with Caring Community/RS on mental health issues, embraces our community in collective grief. All RS members seeking solace are welcome to attend a special NAMI Connections Group meeting to share our responses to the horror of October 27 in Pittsburgh. The power of group support can inspire strength and healing in moving forward.

All are welcome to help shop, cook, bake, and/or deliver meals to congregants who can't get to RS easily due to health, recent birth, or mourning a loss.  Meals are prepared on the second Wednesday of each month from 5-7 PM in the RS kitchen.

Munch & Mitzvah

Please join the camaraderie of Caring Community's Munch & Mitzvah when we gather to assemble festive gift bags for our fellow members who cannot participate in congregational life here on site. Bring your own lunch. Snacks will be served.

We also need volunteers to deliver. This is a simple and meaningful opportunity to connect with members of our RS Family whom we don't often get to see. Munchies will be provided. We will finish assembling bags on December 13 at 5:00pm.

Philly is Charolttesville March & Rally

We ask you to join us on Wednesday, August 16th at 7:00 PM in a march and rally under the banner of "Unmasking White Supremacy in Philadelphia." POWER clergy and laity will be joined by allies (32 BJ SEIU, UNITE HERE!, PFT, 1199C, 215 People's Alliance, Juntos, Women's March PA, and Media Mobilizing) in the fight for social justice as we pull back the veil on injustice within our own borders.
