As part of our 90th celebration, join us in the sanctuary as professional storyteller Bill Gordh and Berkman Mercaz Limud students present their stories of this sacred space. Their unique watercolor art about the sanctuary will also be on display. Sponsored by an anonymous RS family
RSTY 1-2-3 and RSTY 4-5 will enjoy an afternoon of a pop-rock (hip hop dance) class taught by a professional dancer and a step-by-step canvas painting class by a professional artist! 1st-2nd-3rd graders will participate in classes as one group, while 4th-5th graders will be in a separate group, and each group will have a chance to enjoy both activities with their peers.
Dress for a mess and to dance!
*The activities will begin at 1:15 pm (after youth choir) -- children who are not in youth choir will have a pizza lunch in Teller.*

These three rehearsals, in addition to the performance, will be mandatory for all participants.
We are so excited to share with you that the RS Youth Theater is back! In March, we will stage a (short) production of selections from the classic, Fiddler on the Roof. Once again, we will partner with John Rea and Liz Fredette from MacGuffin Theater and Film Co. to put this show together over only four Sundays in February and March.
We invite families of children in grades 5-8 to join us for a special Shabbat service and dinner. RS will be hosting the Chester Children's Chorus, who will sing during Shabbat services. In celebration of the Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, we will be attending the Honey Festival at Bartram's Garden (5400 Lindbergh Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19143). Join us at 10AM in the picnic area to learn about the holiday. Followed by a day of bee-related activities, such as a honey tastings, open hive demonstrations and honey extractions, a honeybee parade for kids, and Beekeeping 101. Plus, a honey marketplace and crafts, free river boating. RSVP in advance to Alicia Broudy.
Our kids will saw, drill, finish, and shellac a ram’s horn to create a genuine Shofar. During this “hands-on” workshop, we will learn how to sound and practice the traditional sequence of notes blown on Rosh Hashanah. Families with Young Children are welcome to all Buerger events. RSVP: Andi Miller
