“Healer of the broken-hearted, Binder of our wounds
Counter of uncountable stars, You know who we are” (Psalm 147).
On our journey from Pesach’s freedom to Shavuot’s purpose, we count the Omer together:
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָֽׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתָיו, וְצִוָּֽנוּ עַל סְפִירַת הָעֹֽמֶר.
Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu melech ha-olam asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav vitzivanu al s’firat ha-omer.
Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Ruler of the universe, who sanctifies us with mitzvot, and commands us concerning the counting of the Omer.
Tonight begins the 43rd day, which is 6 weeks and 2 days, of the Omer.
