SUMMARY:ReadRS: Sons & Daughters Part Three
DESCRIPTION:Perseverance is a Jewish value. “Seven times the righteous man falls and gets up” a Proverb proclaims. And three times will the steadfast members of ReadRS come together to discuss Sons and Daughters. Keep reading and join us to talk about the last half of Chaim Grade’s engrossing novel about the interlocked lives of the many children of a pair of Rabbis in 1930s Poland. It’s a fascinating portrait of the pressures on pre-war Yiddish Civilization from movements such as Zionism\, secularism\, and Reform. \nRegister here. \nContact Howard Green at greenhl@gmail.com.
