The hunger, poverty, and trauma of so many people at home and abroad can feel overwhelming despite our best efforts at tikkun olam (repairing the world). But here’s a simple way to make a concrete positive impact in the lives of our neighbors:

Breaking Bread on Broad (BBoB, RS’s food pantry) and Knitzvot (our fiber arts Engagement Group) are teaming up for the second annual BUNDLED UP ON BROAD!! This drive puts warm clothes and other winter necessities directly into the hands of the over two hundred food-insecure families who come to BBoB each week.

There are two main ways to donate: (1) Visit our Amazon wishlist (https://bit.ly/bundled2024by November 29, 2024 and shop for mittens, hats, warm socks, and more! Amazon will ship them straight to RS, and BBoB will distribute them to our neighbors who would otherwise have to face the winter with inadequate and outgrown clothing.

(2) This year, we are introducing an online silent auction! Visit the auction page at https://www.32auctions.com/Bundled2024 between November 15 and November 22 to bid on a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind item like a shawl, baby blanket, or hat. If you win, every dollar goes straight to the Bundled Up wishlist. And what’s a better Hanukkah gift than something handmade with love?

You can also take a look at the registry to learn our current needs, and purchase comparable warm clothing from any source you choose! New, unused items only please. Ship to Rodeph Shalom, ATTN: BBoB, or drop items off at the RS security desk and tell them it’s for BBoB.

Bundled Up on Broad is truly a win-win: the joy and comfort on the faces of our BBoB children and families as they open their Bundled Up bundles can only be matched by your own joy and comfort in making your community warmer.
