Wednesdays, February 1 – May 3, 2017 at 6pm
With Rabbis Kuhn, Maderer & Freedman and Cantor Frankel
If you are an interfaith couple, if you are considering converting to Judaism, or if you are Jewish and looking for beginner’s education, “Introduction to Judaism” is perfect for you. Registration is required. Please contact Catherine Fischer at [email protected]
Cost: URJ synagogue members: $180 per person or per couple, non members $275 per person or per couple.
Catherine Fischer will facilitate a series of discussions on matters around identity, family, and community and provide an opportunity to share the challenges and joys of how your path is shaping those issues. Our final class will be a visit to the mikveh. By participating in this group, there is no assumption that everyone will convert. Our hope is that this class will serve your needs and interests on your personal journey wherever that may take you.
Anyone in the 2016 Introduction to Judaism class, RS members and prospective members are welcome to join us. Contact Catherine Fischer (215-627-6747 x246, [email protected]) if you are interested.
There is no cost for RS members. Cost for non-members is $25.
Taste of Judaism: Are You Curious?
A free, 3-session class for beginners — Jewish or not — that explores the topics of Jewish spirituality, ethics and community values. This class is designed for those who would like to explore or re-explore the foundations of our tradition and are looking for an entry into Jewish life.
A Taste of Judaism has achieved remarkable success with unaffiliated Jews, those who are not Jewish but who are interested in learning about Judaism, interfaith couples and their families and those considering conversion. This opportunity is for unaffiliated people only. Please invite your unaffiliated friends and family to join us.
