After years of extraordinary service, Executive Director Jeff Katz will retire in June. Our dedicated Search Committee, co-chaired by David Mandell and Holly Lentz Kleeman, has been hard at work to find a new leader who embodies our values and vision.
Search Process
In December, we formed a Search Committee that includes Marsha Weinraub, Fran Martin, Terry Silver, Deborah Gordon Klehr, Dena Herrin, Chip Ellis, Jon Broder, and Rabbi Jill Maderer. This team has mapped out the search process and identified key competencies needed for success.
Consultation and Feedback
We have gathered valuable input from clergy, staff, and congregants on the qualities we desire in our next Executive Director. This feedback has shaped our criteria and guided our search.
Screening and Interviews
We hired DRG, a consulting search firm that specializes in non-profits and Jewish-adjacent organizations. They have assisted us at every step, screening candidates both locally and across the country for interviews. After a rigorous screening and interview process, we’ve selected several highly qualified candidates for further interviews. Each candidate brings unique perspectives and expertise.
Progress and Next Steps
We are now conducting final interviews. The Search Committee will soon review the outcomes and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors. We hope to announce our new Executive Director by early summer and will keep you informed throughout the process.
Transition
Once selected, we’ll ensure a smooth transition, with collaboration from outgoing leadership, staff, and congregants.
Thank you for your patience and support. We’re confident our new Executive Director will bring renewed energy and vision to our community. Stay tuned for more updates!
