Resistance and Resilience: Living as Trans and Gender Expansive People in a Restrictive World

October 16, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

In honor of National Coming Out Week, hear a panel conversation with trans and gender expansive members of our RS Jewish community (Mon Kramer, Noah Duckett, Link Shuster, and Sophia Shapira) exploring how we navigate barriers, find resilience and joy, and reflect on living authentically.

Compelled by these stories and the aim to support trans safety and belonging, our guest photojournalist Adam Mastoon will offer an opportunity for trans young adults to participate in his trans/formation book project.

Register to attend here.

The project’s purpose is to honor these beautiful young people and to amplify their experiences with authenticity in an exciting multimedia book. Through compelling portraits and first-person narratives, the project (featuring trans or nonbinary 18-24 year-olds) will create a resonant space where transgender and nonbinary young adults can know that they belong in the fullness of their authentic selves. Contact Adam Mastoon to participate.
