“Tikkun Olam: Healing Our World” Philadelphia Museum of Jewish Art Exhibit Opening
April 23 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Please join us on Wednesday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. for a reception with the artists in our 2025 Open Call titled, “Tikkun Olam.” Translated as “Repair Our World,” this is the second open call exhibition since the Philadelphia Museum of Jewish Art’s post-COVID rejuvenation.
The show was juried by a committee of Rodeph Shalom members, including artists, collectors, and curators. This year, we had more than 225 applicants and selected just over 60 pieces for the show from over 600 works that were submitted.
A modern understanding of Tikkun Olam is that we share a partnership with God and have a duty to confront the challenges of repairing our world. You are invited to enjoy the many interpretations by contemporary artists of this challenge.
The show will be installed in the Gushner and Gutman galleries from mid-March until the end of June.
