Youth Activities

In addition to religious school, we engage youth through social gatherings throughout the year.  Youth group events are led by Jem Oshins, Youth Engagement Coordinator, for students in Sh’mot (3rd-5th grades), Vayikra (6th-7th grades), and teens (8th-12th grades).  Some of the most popular events include a Shabbaton for 6th and 7th graders – staying overnight in the synagogue from Friday evening until Saturday evening, to spend all of Shabbat together.  Jem works with a leadership council of teens to plan and run teen youth group events, including weekends with Reform Jewish teens from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware through the Reform movement’s youth group, NFTY.
