What is Investing Membership?
With a membership commitment above our Sustaining level, Investing Members embody the values of tzedakah and dedication to our community. Your support not only sustains our vision as a visionary center of Jewish life but also ensures inclusivity, allowing all who seek connection to participate fully in our sacred congregation.
Why is Investing Membership important?
Membership Commitments make up a little over half of our projected revenues each year. We have three levels of commitment – Supporting Membership, Sustaining Membership, and Investing Membership.
Supporting Members make a yearly membership commitment that supports RS in the best way they can. Sustaining Members make a yearly membership commitment that is determined by the total projected expenses divided by the number of households considered members.
Investing Members help to make up the gap between our projected revenues and expenses with an annual Membership Commitment level that exceeds that of a Sustaining Member.
Where are the additional funds used?
RS continues to thrive in large part due to our generous Investing Members, whose philanthropy provides for regular synagogue operations including our wide range of programming, educational offerings, and clergy services including pastoral care. The gift you make as an Investing Member is truly impactful and far-reaching, ensuring that RS can continue to welcome all and engage our entire community in meaningful Jewish life.
