Please join us for a panel discussion with two social service staffers who work for ELEM/Youth in Distress in Israel. Our Israeli panelist, Efrat Hecht, is the director of Halev, a program based in Tel Aviv with a goal of eliminating the commercial sexual exploitation of teenagers and young adults and to provide social and government services for this vulnerable population. Our American panelist is Liora Attias, Chief Operating Officer of ELEM USA, the American advocacy arm of ELEM Israel. ELEM/Youth in Distress in Israel is one of the country’s largest nonprofit organizations dedicated to treating and transforming the lives of troubled youth from diverse backgrounds. This conversation will be moderated by Ned Hanover, a licensed clinical social worker and congregant of Rodeph Shalom.
