6:30 we gather for dinner (you are welcome to bring your own or pizza is provided) and at 7 we begin our discussion.
Sai Koros (they/them) is a student rabbi at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. They graduated from University of Pittsburgh in 2019 with a Bachelor of Philosophy in Religious Studies, Sociology, and Jewish Studies. Throughout their career, Sai has worked in congregational, activist, and academic life. They can’t wait to co-create engaging conversations about Torah, queerness, and community at Rodeph Shalom.
The 70 Faces of Gender in Torah
In our study of Dt. 33:1-34:12 and Gn. 1:1-2:3, we will talk about Moses’s last encounter with God and God’s creation of the first human. It’s said that there are 70 faces of Torah. Whose faces can we see in this text?
