Torah Queeries

November 1, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Here I Am: Seeing Silence and Possibility
In our discussion of Parshat Vayera (Gen. 18:1 – 22:24), we will explore ways to confront silences and ambiguities in the text. Who is silent? Where can we see – or how might we see – possibility in silence? Content warnings: homophobia and violence.

6:30 we gather for dinner (you are welcome to bring your own or pizza is provided) and at 7 we begin our discussion.

Sai Koros (they/them) is a student rabbi at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. They graduated from University of Pittsburgh in 2019 with a Bachelor of Philosophy in Religious Studies, Sociology, and Jewish Studies. Throughout their career, Sai has worked in congregational, activist, and academic life. They can’t wait to co-create engaging conversations about Torah, queerness, and community at Rodeph Shalom.
