Torah Queeries

September 6, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Come build queer commUNITY at Torah Queeries: Nosh and Drash. Please join pRiSm as we welcome RRC Student, Sai Koros. For more on Sai, see below. 6:30 we gather for dinner (you are welcome to bring your own or pizza is provided) and at 7 we begin our discussion.

Does the Torah apologize? In this discussion of Parshat Nitzavim-Vayeilech, we will talk about restoring our relationships, ourselves, and the Torah through a queer lens.
Trigger warnings: brief discussion of homophobia and transphobia.

Sai Koros (they/them) is a student rabbi at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. They graduated from University of Pittsburgh in 2019 with a Bachelor of Philosophy in Religious Studies, Sociology, and Jewish Studies. Throughout their career, Sai has worked in congregational, activist, and academic life. They can’t wait to co-create engaging conversations about Torah, queerness, and community at Rodeph Shalom.
