Days of Learning Spring 2022

It’s spring - The trees are in bloom, flowers are budding, and Days of Learning is ready to meet the moment! It’s time to celebrate the season together. Yoga in our Courtyard, a walk around Rittenhouse Square as we learn about the Jewish take on nature and the environment, listening to the music of Jewish singer-songwriters from Billy Joel to Jim Croce and many other enticing possibilities await you. It’s all happening the week of May 9 for as many or few of our eight classes that fit your schedule led by our clergy and congregants sharing their talents and expertise. Feel free to invite friends.

In Memory of Gail “Malka” Meister (z’l)

We dedicate spring 2022 Days of Learning to Gail 'Malka' Meister. Gail created Days of Learning in 2019 to create profound connections through congregant-to-congregant teaching and learning through a Jewish lens.

With her unique mix of intellect, style, humor and warmth, she made Days of Learning the vibrant adult education offering we anticipate with excitement each time it is offered. She led our Planning Group with flair and sensitivity and she demonstrated deep commitment to making each Day of Learning class the very best it could be. She lives on in our hearts as we cherish her memory. When you register for your class selections, please consider honoring her memory with a donation.

Fresh from Israel!
Elaine and Steve Crane

Join us in a virtual tour of Israel with Elaine and Steve Crane, just returned from a three week visit. They will present historical, technological, artistic, culinary and recreational highlights, including vistas of the Red Sea, with Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia in clear view, the vast Roman ruins at Beit She’an, and the secret bullet factory at Ayalon Institute that was key to Israel’s survival in the 1948 War of Independence. Nosh a light Israeli supper while enjoying the presentation.
