Event details

  • Thursday | February 4, 2021
  • 7:00 pm
Join LawyeRS as we host Professor Robert J. Reinstein, Dean Emeritus and Clifford Scott Green Professor of Law Emeritus from the Temple University Beasley School of Law as we discuss the timely topic of possible removal of members of Congress following the events of January 6.  Having taught for many years and written extensively, Professor Reinstein is an accomplished scholar in the field of Constitutional law.

We will start with a discussion of the relevant Federalist Papers, and Professor Reinstein will talk about the use of the power to expel members of Congress and the interplay of the Constitutional amendments that followed the Civil War. We will then open it up for general discussion and questions. This session is open to the entire community.
