Event begins at 6pm

Join us from the comfort of your home on Sunday, July 19 at 6pm, as David Bianculli and Dr. Melissa R. Klapper take us through the evolution of Jewish television from The Simpsons to Seinfeld, leading up to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. We’ll get an inside look from the perspectives of Bianculli, TV critic, columnist, and NPR radio personality, and Klapper, Professor of History and Director of Women and Gender Studies at Rowan University, as to why the award winning television series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, has become so significant and popular. Following the presentation, there will be a virtual Q&A discussing the clips in the program. 1950’s attire encouraged! …and right before the event we will share a recipe for homemade popcorn so we can virtually enjoy the program together!

Please reach out to Dina Horowitz at dhorowitz@rodephshalom.org with any questions.

*All event patrons will receive an intimate Q&A session with David Bianculli and Melissa Klapper before the event. You will have the opportunity to send in questions to Melissa and David about their professional careers and how they got involved in TV and education.
