*There will be special orchestra seating and a patron reception with David Bianculli and Dr. Melissa R. Klapper at 5:30pm.
Date: Wednesday, March 18 at 7:00pm
David Bianculli and Melissa R. Klapper will take us through the evolution of Jewish television leading up to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. We’ll get an inside look from the perspectives of Bianculli, TV critic, columnist, and radio personality, and Klapper, Professor of History and Director of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rowan University, as to why this award-winning television series has become so significant and popular. Note: Seating will be first come, first served. Please contact Dina Horowitz (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions.
After the discussion there will be an opportunity to purchase and have books signed by the authors, David Bianculli and Dr. Melissa R. Klapper.
Here is a list of the books that will be available:
The Platinum Age of Television: From I Love Lucy to The Walking Dead, How TV Became Terrific by David Bianculli
Ballet Class: An American History by Dr. Melissa R. Klapper
Ballots, Babies, and Banners of Peace: American Jewish Women’s Activism, 1890-1940 by Dr. Melissa R. Klapper
