Sukkot Celebrations

Join the congregation for a Sukkot Festival Morning Service on Tuesday, September 21 at 10:45 a.m., followed by a festive kiddush planned in our sukkah. Thank you to the Men of RS for building the sukkah and to RS Women and Berkman Mercaz Limud (Religious School) for the decorations! Help build the sukkah with the Men of RS on Saturday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m. (RSVP to Rick Braun) and decorate with the RS Women on Sunday, September 19 at 1:00 p.m.

Events Celebrating Sukkot:

Monday, September 20
6:00 p.m.: Men of RS Scotch & Steak (Cost: $40/person; RSVP to Rick Braun)
Pandemic Protocols – Although the sukkah is outside in the courtyard, we are asking that people have a mask and it be used when not eating or drinking. Full RS protocols (including proof of vaccination) will be required for those seeking to enter the building. Cost – $40 – includes dinner and scotch – BYOB if you are a wine drinker and not a scotch drinker. Please bring cash or a check made out to RS.

Tuesday, September 21
6:00 p.m.: RS Women Potluck Dinner (RSVP here)
Sign-up to make an entree, side, or dessert or to bring some wine. What could be a sweeter way to celebrate our friendship than to share a meal outside?

Wednesday, September 22
6:00 p.m.: Midweek Hebrew & Berkman Mercaz Limud Families Dinner (RSVP to Jennifer James)
7:30 p.m.: pRiSm Dinner (Cost: $20/person; RSVP to Ellen Poster)
There will be a sumptuous catered buffet dinner. The fee will be $20 per person payable at the door by cash or charge. Rabbi Sue Levi Elwell will offer a D’var Torah and teach us how to shake the lulav and etrog. We will enjoy live music during the evening. 

Thursday, September 23
5:00 p.m.: Buerger Early Learning Center Sukkot Celebration with Families with Young Children (RSVP to Andi Miller): Celebrate the fall harvest at a family potluck dinner at the RS playground.
6:00 p.m.: Breaking Bread on Broad Volunteer Sukkot Dinner (RSVP to Ellen Poster)
7:30 p.m.: Young Friends Torah Study (RSVP to Jill Ivey)

Saturday, September 25
9:30 a.m.: Tot Shabbat (RSVP to Andi Miller)
Gather for singing, storytelling, a Sukkot craft, and oneg.

Sunday, September 26
3:00 p.m.: Seasoned Solos Snacks & Schmooze (RSVP to Susan Behr)
