For the third year, The Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation is participating in an international campaign, called the Yellow Candle Project, that fosters remembrance of those who did not survive the Holocaust.  Through the Project, participants receive a yellow candle with a card containing information about a Holocaust victim. On Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM ET, we will join together on Zoom to light our candles and remember the 6 million Jews killed during the Holocaust. Prior to our Zoom event, we encourage you to use Yad Vashem’s Database of Victims to learn more about the individual whose name is included in your Yellow Candle box.

Your donation covers the cost of the candle, shipping from the UK to Philadelphia and Philadelphia to you. It also supports the Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation’s various programs- from teacher training to student engagement. To date, the Foundation has trained more than 800 teachers in 28 trainings in just 3 school years and hosted in person and virtual programs reaching thousands, locally, nationally and even internationally.
