ReadRS Discussion: “My Father’s Paradise: A Son’s Search For His Family’s Past”

January 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Over the course of Jewish history, there has been a heavy prejudice against Jewish communities outside of Western thought and influence.

The Jewish communities of the non-Western world in their own ways have sustained and kept Judaism alive while everything else was burning.

Sabar’s book is a gentle reminder that there are fantastic stories yet to be told of the Jews who survived in the most precarious of places, and who continue to inspire and enrich the Jewish people.

Join Cantor Hyman as we explore this ongoing journey to find the difference between “survive” and “thrive” for the legacies of post-Sadaam, Kurdish Iraq.  Register here.
