World Premiere Concert of Travel Guide to Nicaragua with The Crossing Choir
November 16, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Hear the Grammy-Award winning professional chamber choir in this new, concert-length autobiographical choral work from Michael Gordon. This work tells the story of the composer’s early childhood in a family of European Jewish refugees living in Central America in the 1960s through a musical look at the intersection of memory and emotion, presented with candor, melancholy, and humor.
Rodeph Shalom is gratefully partnering with The Crossing to explore the resonance and place within Jewish history, culture, and community of Michael’s story. Travel Guide to Nicaragua is co-commissioned for The Crossing by Carnegie Hall and Penn Live Arts. This world premiere performance with The Crossing Choir is part of the RS philanthropic year. Discounted tickets are available with code RSMember. Tickets can be purchased here. To become a year-long or event patron, contact Rachel Jacobson or click here.
